At the heart of The Royal Countess Zingara is Carousel, a magnificent Spiegelpaleis tent that has been captivating audiences since 1930. Originating from a Belgian family tradition spanning over a century, these hand-carved wooden mirror tents hold a million secrets within their walls. With billowing velvet canopies, stained glass windows, and more than 1,000 mirrors, they have travelled the world bringing joy to all who step inside.
The Carousel arrived in South Africa for the rebirth of Zingara, marking her maiden Cape Town season in Summer 2025. It’s more than a venue; it’s a living piece of history, a palace of wonder where every alcove, reflection, and glimmering surface invites you to leave the ordinary behind.

Our Commitment
to Community

At the heart of The Royal Countess Zingara experience lies a deep commitment to community and positive impact. We believe that true magic extends beyond the stage, it’s found in the lives we touch, the opportunities we create, and the futures we help shape.
Our children are our future, and we are proud to support organisations that nurture, educate, and empower them. A percentage of every ticket sold is pledged to two incredible charities, ensuring that every show contributes to brighter tomorrows.
